
PCOD YOUTH ASSOCIATION
The Pennsylvania Council of Deliberation (PCOD) Youth Association, Inc. NFP is an organization founded on solid principles. We serve in the spirit of excellence with integrity and compassion in our community, our city and the state. We have established a standard for Literacy Response Strategies modeled by our strength of ethnic diversity and teamwork.
PCOD Youth Association is recognized for dedication to mentoring, respecting and upholding our youth and young adults. PCOD Youth Association will inspire, support and mold effective and assertive leadership.
The Pennsylvania Council of Deliberation Youth Association, Inc. NFP is qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers or gifts under section 2055, 2106 or 2522 of the Internal Revenue Code. The Association is exempt from Federal income tax under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
PCOD Youth Association provides the following services:
• The mentoring program provides assistance for specialized training for adults who provide mentoring services for the betterment of youth 6th to 12th grades at participating school districts in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
• Our Educational programs (Swiggett-Lett-Strickland and Hazel Datcher ) provides educational assistance to selected students in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. These educational assistance awards are provided to eligible students in order to fill gaps when all local, state and federal college funding sources have been exhausted. Many of the students receiving “Last Dollar Grants” are first-generation, low-income, at-risk students.
• Other Planned Services include pre-employment skills training and jobs search assistance and placement, proper nutrition and nutrition education, general education development (GED) instruction, services that protect and promote the health and stability of the family, parenting and life instruction for (pregnant and parenting teens) and social activities to enhance positive family interaction.
Pennsylvania Council of Deliberation Youth Association, Inc. NFP is flexible to provide services throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Your generous support will assist high school seniors enroll in post-secondary institutions with a wide array of scholarship and grant opportunities and provide support to the planned services.
